• Elizabeth (Liz) Murillo serves as the Assistant Director for the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She is responsible for overseeing programs and events and creating entrepreneurship opportunities on campus. Liz brings over a decade of experience in coordinating a variety of events, including large-scale galas, an ability-friendly baseball clinic, panel discussions, and international events.

    A large portion of her career has been dedicated to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the community. For nearly six years she worked for a nonprofit that promoted programming for neurodivergent youth. Most recently she managed the startHER program which aims to increase female representation in entrepreneurship by connecting aspiring students who identify as female with successful female founders.

    Originally from California, Liz has now called San Antonio home for more than a decade. She is a first generation graduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from Texas A&M - San Antonio.

    Liz looks forward to supporting students in their entrepreneurial journey and advancing the Center’s efforts to broaden engagement in underrepresented groups in innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E).
